Maintaining business momentum
It’s often said but true nevertheless that people are any organisation’s greatest asset and largest overhead. When they are not working effectively and with a degree of personal satisfaction productivity drops and business suffers. Similarly, a project can only be truly successful when it is delivered to time and to budget.Consequently, when a management role is vacated for whatever reason, it becomes important to fill it as quickly as possible with someone who is able to maintain business momentum. Often there is a need to deliver a specific piece of work but nobody available from within the organisation with the time and ability to fill the gap. Interim managers provide the solution in such circumstances.
Although the specific requirements of each situation may be very different in many ways, there is a common need across private, public and voluntary sectors for sound business-like thinking coupled with excellent people and project management ability.
My people and business management skills, developed in the private and voluntary sectors, provide the basis for my interim management service. These are complemented by informal management and mentoring experience gained as a business consultant and a background in strategic management born out of my board directorships. My experience encompasses all of the aspects you would expect from an interim manager such as budgeting, financial management, recruitment, team development, project management etc.
The range of experience enables me to fit quickly into any situation and I offer a flexible and effective approach that is exactly tailored to your needs and includes daily or hourly charging as dictated by your circumstances or preference.
